One of the best things about summer vacation is that I can get SO many projects completed. This time last year I was making lots of fabric flowers for my wedding. In addition to making new items for my Etsy shop, this is the summer of quilting and lots of little projects.
I have one friend who gave me a giant milk crate of t-shirts to make him a custom t-shirt quilt.
I went to Goodwill today to poke around and I found this t-shirt. Loved the color, but thought it was kind of blah. Using a tutorial I found here I fixed it up!
I also found this great Mickey fabric at the fabric store, and HAD to make them into baby toys for a friend of mine. I made the small ball using a tutorial I found here. I followed the tutorial exactly, but I didn't put circles on either ends of the ball.
Be prepared - new Etsy items coming soon!

On Sale Now!
Now that I am back from my amazing travels to Alaska, I can say that I was really inspired while I was there. Between newly found fabrics and the gorgeous scenery, don't be surprised if there are batiked landscapes in the future...
While in Ketchikan, I went to this great quilt shop with wonderful Alaska fabrics and patterns. Of course, many purchases were made!
Hill Country Design items are now on sale at Sassy Pea Market! All items that are on sale at Sassy Pea Market are completely different and cannot be found at my Etsy shop. If you are in the Leander area, swing by and check out my items and the shop! There are a lot of great local goods sold there.

This cam onesie is my favorite. I'm excited to be adding a new rock climbing design to my shop.
I also have put some new items up in my shop. You can buy them here.

Table Runner
A friend of mine went on her honeymoon to Thailand and brought me back this gorgeous sari kit. Of course I'm not going to make a sari, but I immediately looked at it and thought "runner for the buffet".
The best part of the fabric was the little sticker on it.
After buying some tassels, I spent the morning making a runner. I love it!
In addition to making a runner, I had this brilliant idea to try to make cake balls. After much research I thought "This is going to be so easy." I followed all the steps. And....here's the end result. Something that kind of resembles a cake ball. I don't know how Bakerella does it!

Good Things
The onesies I showed you previously? They are finished and on sale at my Etsy shop.
There are two things I love. Headbands and Pintrest. I found this great headband tutorial on Pintrest and since the project looked super easy I decided to make one for myself. I have a selection of t-shirts that I have used for previous projects, so it was a good use of scraps.

Onesies in progress
I have been a very busy lady and batiking has taken a back seat. Lots of baby projects for friends right now. However, I finally found some time today and was able to get a couple onesies started! I plan to finish them tomorrow and set up listings for them in my etsy shop this week. All of them are 3-6 month onesies.

Bluetooth Headset Bag Tutorial
I don't know about you, but I am constantly losing my Bluetooth headset in my purse! I decided it was time to make a bag for it so I could find it easier. This was also a perfect project to use some of my scrap fabric.
As a guideline, I used Cara's tutorial found here.
Instead of using her fabric dimensions I cut my fabric to be 4" x 7". I used a 4" zipper, but it would have been easier to use a 6" zipper.
